Event Overview

For the Love of Bluebirds
  • Friday, April 10
    11:00 PM—12:00 AM

The Doylestown Township Environmental Advisory Council (EAC) and Bird Town Committee invite you to a special presentation and bird walk at the Doylestown Township Building: For the Love of Bluebirds presented by Nancy Fraim.

During this informative program, Nancy will share the basics about Eastern Bluebirds, including how to attract them to your yard and best practices for monitoring and maintaining nesting boxes throughout the seasons. If we invite bluebirds into our backyards, it’s important that we provide a safe habitat where they and other songbirds can thrive.
Following the presentation, participants will take a short walk to visit the Township’s cavity-nesting bird boxes, observe active nests, and hopefully catch a glimpse of baby birds.
We hope you’ll join us for this engaging and educational event!

Nancy taught science to elementary students for 39 years in the Downingtown Area School District. After retiring, she became the Membership Chair and Chester County’s co-coordinator for the Bluebird Society of PA. She is also BSP’s Membership Chair, Facebook Admin. and Board member.
