Calling all kids and parents – It’s
time to turn off the television, video games, computers and cell phones and
to - get up, get out and play! Join us for a true community-wide
day-of-play and exploration for all ages! Run with iRun4life, discover
nature, jump, smile, be silly and laugh while spending time together as a
family. Parents revisit memories from your childhood and make new memories
together with your children.
Hosted at both Doylestown Township’s
Central Park and The Central Bucks Family Y, you will experience imaginative
adventures, participate in creative outdoor activities and play fun games.
Plus, live entertainment courtesy of the CB Cares - Y2C arts program at both
locations. A free shuttle will be provided by Doylestown Dart to transport you to and from each
site. Thank you Dart!

This event is a joint effort of the
Doylestown Township Parks & Recreation Department, Central Bucks Family
YMCA, No Child Left Inside B.C. Coalition and CB Cares.
The No Child Left Inside – Bucks County
Coalition is part of a national movement aimed at reconnecting our children
with nature and outdoor play. The book, Last Child in the Woods, by
Richard Louv, has been the inspiration behind “No Child Left Inside,”
chapters forming nationwide. The book speaks to the challenge of
reconnecting our children to nature and prioritizing recreation with a sense
of urgency as we are inundated with reports indicating the health of our
children is in a state of decline. The goal of “No Child Left Inside” is
simply to improve the health of our children, our environment and our
community as a whole.
The No Child Left Inside- Bucks
County Coalition has been growing and includes organizations dedicated to
conservation such as the Bucks County Conservation District, Heritage
Conservancy, and Peace Valley Nature Center. In addition, we have the
commitment from a range of area businesses such as Boucher and James Inc. as
well non profit organizations such as CB Cares.
In addition to our partnership with Doylestown Township, we are pleased to
have the support of elected officials at the local, county, and state levels
as well.
