Sounds of Summer 2011
is presented by the
Doylestown Community Performing Arts Council in cooperation with
Doylestown Township and Doylestown Borough and supported in part
by a grant from the Pennsylvania Council on the Arts.
Performances begin at 7:00
PM
(unless noted).
Concerts are free, open to the public and handicap accessible.
At the
fireworks performance,
a
$5.00 per carload donation, in support of this series, will be
greatly appreciated. For the outdoor venues, blankets, chairs
and picnics are permitted. Central Park is located at 425 Wells
Rd.; Chapman Park
is located at
Rt. 202 and East Rd. In the event of
inclement weather, performances will be held at Central Bucks
West High School, 375 W. Court St. For information and/or

Almost
FAB
June 29
· Chapman Park · 7:00 pm
Playing Beatle songs from every era of the Fab Four’s career,
Almost FAB creates a fun atmosphere while rocking
your night away with the songs that you know all the words to,
and can sing along with. Almost FAB’s cast brings over
150 combined years of studying and performing to the stage.
This gig may be the most fun these five guys have ever had on
stage... Their enjoyment and energy is contagious for the
audience. Almost FAB is not a look-alike band but a group
of FABulous musicians performing the songs the Beatles made
famous in a fun and exciting show that will keep you singing and
dancing all night long

Horn Band

(Rain Date July 10th) · Central Park · 7:30 pm
You'll want to get out of those seats and on your feet when
Philly Party Band brings their unique style of entertainment to
Central Park for the Doylestown Township concert and fireworks.
Experience the sounds of Standards, Motown, Rock, and Top 40
when the stage comes alive with the band's entertainment
extravaganza to the delight of the audience of all ages. You'll
sing, clap, and dance to your favorite sounds before a dazzling
fireworks show to end the evening. The area in front of the
bandstand is reserved for dancing so join in the fun with your
family, friends, and the exciting entertainers of Philly Party
Band. Featuring a special fireworks presentation following
the concert. Parking: $5.00 per car

Magic
by Stuart / Steve Pullara & the Cool Beans Band
July 6
· Chapman Park · 7:00 pm
Stuart Rudnick presents a show geared for all age featuring,
magic to music and routines involving audience participation and
lots of comedy and good clean fun right through the final
illusion. Magical silks and
bubbles, doves and yes, the “white rabbit”… all the amaze and
entertain you.
Our
very own local Grammy Nominated recording artist, Steve Pullara…
with his Cool Beans Band will have you and your kids and your
kids will dancing the night away. All the music will be high
energy and family inclusive. It will certainly be a night to
remember as your kids hop like frogs, sing about pizza and dance
to tunes that sound like the chicken dance! A good time will be
had by all.

Jimmy
and the Parrots

“Yea Mon”! Grab your beach chairs, suntan oil, flip flops and
get ready for a trip to the islands for an evening of fun,
energy, dancing and audience participation. Their set list is
deep as it is wide, covering songs from Harry Belafonte, The
Beach Boys and Jimmy Buffett; the band shows their talents as
songwriters in their impressive original works.

In Full
Swing
July 20
· Chapman Park · 7:00 pm
"Big Band Favorites and current swing hits. In Full Swing will
get your foot tapping as we visit the “big Band” sound of the
‘30’s and ‘40’s with a bit of contemporary swing thrown in as
well." In Full Swing creates music the “old fashioned
way”… one person per instrument and offer the authentic sound of
a bygone era.

The
Fabulous Greaseband
July 27
· Central Park · 7:00 pm
The Fabulous Greaseband is a seven-member nostalgic
dance-party band and concert attraction. Featuring outstanding
male and female lead vocals in a front trio backed by a gifted
group of instrumentalists, their highly entertaining and
energetic delivery of some of the greatest songs ever written
has kept the group on top for well over thirty years. Whether
belting out a tune straight-up, getting the audience to join in,
or adorning a themed medley with theatrical costume changes,
The Greaseband has been a perennial favorite at community
festivals across six states, suitable for all ages and enjoyable
for the entire family!

All shows begin at 7:00 PM unless otherwise
noted. Concerts are FREE and handicap accessible. Bring blankets and/or chairs, as they are NOT provided at venue. Alcohol is prohibited at ALL venues. Food and beverage is
prohibited at C.B. West High School (indoor venue). In the event of inclement weather, the performances will be held
at C.B. West High School. Call the Township or Borough office
after 3:00 PM to confirm location. Refreshments will be available for purchase. The schedule is subject to change without notice. Please check
the Township website often for updates.

High School (auditorium). Please note that all food
and beverage is prohibited in the auditorium. |

Follow Route 611 North/Easton to 202 North/New Hope. Take 202
North to the "Y" in the road. Turn left at the "Y"; this puts

Road). Chapman Park will be on your immediate right. Public parking is available in
the business complex ("The Farm") across the street. Parking
for persons with disabilities is available in Chapman Park.
