2008 Phillies Home Run Derby - Championship

A big high five to two of our local children who participated in this year’s Phillies Home Run Derby, held on the evening of May 22nd at Turk Park here in Doylestown Township.

9 year old Colin Sheehan of Buckingham not only made it past the Regionals but actually won FIRST PLACE at the Championship, held on September 11th at Citizen’s Bank Park!

Let’s not forget 12 year old Caroline Schoenewald. Although Caroline did not win the Championship she did make it past the Regionals and made it there, which is certainly no easy undertaking!

We are very proud of both of you here at Doylestown Township and the Doylestown Athletic Association for participating in organized sports and giving it your all. A job well done!
