Your trash hauling service also includes the collection of recyclables. Please ask your hauler if they provide receptacles (Doylestown Township does not) and if not, what types are acceptable. Doylestown Township residents are required to recycle: newspaper and other clean paper; aluminum, steel, and bimetal cans; clear, amber, and green glass; #1 and #2 plastics; and yard waste. Each hauler has a different recycling program, with different items collected curbside. Check with your hauler about what they offer in their recycling program.
Want to learn more about recycling? You’ll find everything you need to know in the Bucks County Planning Commission’s 2008 Guide to Recycling.

Our Battery Recycling Program has changed! We no longer accept regular alkaline batteries for recycling. Please dispose of them in the regular trash. If you would like to drop off your rechargeable household batteries or cell phone batteries at the Township for recycling, you no longer need to tape them! They can be delivered just as they are with no tape and no plastic bags. Please separate any lithium batteries. If you have any questions, please contact us at 215-348-9915.
