Water Operator –
Doylestown Township is seeking applications for an open
job position in the township’s water authority.
Applying applicants shall be non-smokers and
non-users of all and any tobacco products in compliance
with Township employment policies.
Applicants shall hold and maintain a
valid and current Pennsylvania Water Operator License of
“ B” (or greater) with sub-classifications 7, 8, 10, 11
and 12, at a minimum.
Applicants shall also hold and maintain a valid and
current Pennsylvania Commercial Driver/Operator License
of B or greater with air brake and hazmat endorsements
and shall participate and successfully pass random drug
tests in accordance with the Commonwealth of
Pennsylvania commercial driver regulations.
Applicants shall provide a recent criminal record
check as required by the Pennsylvania Water Operator
Certification Act, as well as any other required
documentation required for operators of a public water
system.
The successful candidate for the Water Department
position shall perform daily operational duties, such
as, but not limited too, installation of water mains and
services, computer operations, meter reading, monitoring
systems, testing and making operational recommendations
within permit conditions while meeting both federal and
state laws and departmental regulations of the
Doylestown Township Municipal Authority.
Applicants should be self motivated and capable of
working independently as well as in a group. The
successful candidate must be able to work assigned
schedules in the course of his or her duties and to
respond to water system problems after hours, as needed.
